Gabriela Lena Frank Wins Latin Grammy for Best Classical Contemporary Composition
Gabriela Lena Frank received Latin Grammy for Best Classical Contemporary Composition for "Inca Dances." "Inca Dances" was commissioned by the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society, with grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Peabody Conservatory of Music. The work's world-premiere recording is on the Sounds of the Americas album with guitarist Manuel Barrueco and Cuarteto Latinoamericano.
