ASCAP/Henry Mancini National Scholarship Awarded to Student Composer Erin Poovey

The 2007 ASCAP/Henry Mancini National Scholarship was awarded to Erin Poovey, an MFA candidate in the graduate Music Composition for the Screen program at Columbia College Chicago. Ms. Poovey was presented the award by Oscar-nominated film composer Bruce Broughton during a December 12 ceremony at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City. She is due to complete her graduate studies in summer of 2008 and to record her thesis score in Los Angeles during the program's Semester In L.A.
