The Undeserving is a rising indie rock group from Fremont, Ohio featuring brothers Clay (vocals/guitar/piano) and Kyle Kirchenbauer (drums), J. Brennan Willis (lead guitar/backing vocals) and Jimmie Getty (bass). With powerful lyrics and tightly executed compositions, their sound puts you in mind of British Rock groups such as Keane and Travis. Forming in 2004, the band's first recording project forged ahead with Allen Salmon, an up-and-coming producer, who saw promise in the developing group. Soon after the completion of their debut release, Please Don't Leave EP, they found themselves playing on the same stage with national recording artists such as Falling Up, John Reuben, Mainstay and Sanctus Real. They are currently featured on the Toledo Rocks compilation disk, which has helped earn them a spot on regular rotation on alt/rock station 106.5 The Zone in Toledo. Their song, "Look Inside," can be heard daily on The Zone and was the subject of a Script the Video Contest, which the band launched earlier this year to solicit ideas for a music video. The winner received a video iPod with the "Look Inside" music video preloaded. The band has been busy filming their musical experiences and is planning to release a DVD documentary. Their upcoming shows include a Back to School Bash in their hometown, as well as gigs in Toledo, Akron, and other Ohio cities.
