Ruy Folguera

Argentinean Ruy Folguera, is one of the top music composers, arrangers and producers in the music industry, but much of his time in the past few years has been spent in the film industry, composing scores for a diverse array of films, including A Painted House, Zapata, The Kiss, Tango, Dry Martini, Picking Up the Pieces and Rosarigasinos, for which he received the Best Score Award at the Mar de Plata International Film Festival. He has also written additional cues and/or has served as an arranger, orchestrator, programmer and music supervisor on such hit films as Finding Nemo, Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2, A Walk in the Clouds and Sunchaser, among others. He received an ASCAP Award for his pop ballad, "Luchare por tu Amor," from Zapata in 2005, and was recognized with a Grammy for his contributions to Rush Hour in 1999.

In addition to his film work, Ruy still has had time to produce and arrange numerous projects for such diverse music luminaries as Roberta Flack, Alejandro Fernandez, Chaka Khan, Paulina Rubio, Colin Hay (lead singer of Men at Work), multi-Platinum winning rock artist Manuel Wirtz, David Coverdale (lead singer of Whitesnake), and his friend Cecilia Noel — the "Queen of Salsoul". And if all of this weren't enough, he has also produced live tours for American Idol.
