New York-based composer Michael Tremante draws upon his experience as a multi-instrumentalist, performer, and music producer when creating music for film. Since 2004 he has worked on several award-winning independent films, scoring fourteen features and more than twenty shorts. Classical training, contemporary sensibility and experimentation inform his work, along with an interest in combining traditional and non-traditional instruments and sound elements. The 27 Club marks his third collaboration with writer/director Erica Dunton and features a "string section" of mandolin, ukulele, zither, dulcimer and guitar accompanied by piano, organ, voice, duduk and electronics.
