COLORED SHADOWS
Hailing from Los Angeles, Colored Shadows first formed in November 2004. This first EP is a thoughtful collection submerged in cinematic orchestration and musical nuance. Colored Shadows mingle the subtle influence of artists like Air and David Bowie with their own complex writing to create songs that are as elaborate as they are beautiful. Their self titled debut EP is a sophisticated sound that lures with accessibility, but sustains with musical and lyrical depth. Colored Shadows pride themselves on unique chord progressions, intricate arrangements, and lush melodies.
The latest EP, Tiger Mask, displays a more sophisticated style of writing with aggressive tempos and catchy melodies. Using similar chord changes Colored Shadows seems to be coming into their own with arrangements and melodies that have become synonymous with the band.
