OFFICE
9:05 AM, Monday. Downtown Chicago's Business District
Two lovely ladies and two handsome gentlemen, dapperly dressed in shades of gray, blue, brown and black, make their way up to the 75th floor of a rehabilitated business building on Michigan Ave. Etched in bold lettering upon the glass door of their music company, the sign simply reads: OFFICE.
An aroma of freshly-brewed coffee and Xerox machines fills the sterile air of the work space. The quartet huddles around a cubicle, while the soft blue glow of a single computer monitor lights up their collective gaze. All four musicians are calm and focused on conducting the business of the day: to create wonderful pop music with the highest degree of integrity, quality, simplicity, and attention to detail.
Company Assessment
Since the company's reincorporation during the third quarter of 2004, Office's market analysis has shown that investing in premium songwriting offers a greater return than betting on high risk, quick-yielding, and entirely unstable, "flash-in-the-pan" composing techniques. Obtaining longevity and artistic success in a musical career has always been the goal of the company, and this will continue to be the focus.
The Office product line has seen higher-than-expected sales numbers. This recent sharp rise in figures has been attributed to the release of a 12 song CD entitled Q&A. Live performances, including sold-out Midwestern club dates, are also a contributing factor to the corporation's ever-growing market share.
Office:
Scott Masson - songwriter, producer, guitar, piano, and lead vocals
Alissa Noonan - bass guitar
Erica Corniel - drums, and vocals
Tom Smith - guitar, and vocals
