LOVE OF DIAGRAMS
Love of Diagrams are a band from Melbourne, Australia.
The three members, Antonia, Luke and Monika, met through the Tasmanian underground; a scene that produced such inspirational bands as the Little Ugly Girls and Sea Scouts, Monika's first band.
They started playing shows as Love of Diagrams in late 2001, after a few house parties as This Free Field. Their music is said to recall the musical naivete and experimentation of New York No-Wave and the energy and tunefulness of English Post-Punk. And due to the great response from both audiences and press, they have stayed busy these last four years.
Love of Diagrams' 2005 single "No Way Out" was recently featured on The O.C. and scored a "10/10" from Vice Magazine. They spent the end of 2005 touring the USA, and recording their as-yet-untitled next album with Bob Weston (Shellac, Mission of Burma) at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio Studios in Chicago.
