About Music Café

The "Sundance ASCAP Music Cafe presented by Ray–Ban" is one of the most popular draws at the Sundance Film Festival. It is dedicated to showcasing the exceptional talent of new, emerging and established songwriters and artists, including solo acts and major bands, and is a place where independent filmmakers can meet and interact with film composers and songwriters to encourage collaboration between these two creative communities.

This year, the Sundance ASCAP Music Cafe will be held at new venue in Park City. During the Festival, Main Street will be closed to traffic between 7th and 9th Streets and will become the site for the new venue.

The Sundance ASCAP Music Cafe Presented by Ray–Ban is open to Festival Credential holders each afternoon beginning Friday, January 16th and running through Friday, January 23rd. This year's lineup includes Dave Barnes, Birdmonster, Chad & Jeremy, Damien Rice, Tom Freund, Gin Blossoms, Anwan Glover (the Backyard Band), The Guggenheim Grotto, Rosi Golan, Katie Herzig, Wynonna, Landon Pigg, Lenka, Locksley, Chris Mann, Montell Jordan, The People Speak, John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), Angel Taylor, Phil Vassar, Sara Watkins, Dan Wilson, Rachael Yamagata, Youth Speaks, and some very exciting surprise guests.

2009 marks the 11th anniversary of ASCAP producing the Music Café at the Sundance Film Festival. Over the years, ASCAP has provided stellar programming, presenting artists associated with Festival films along with other legendary and cutting–edge artists.
