John Rzeznik

Singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer John Rzeznik is one of the most globally respected and influential forces in popular music history, selling more than 10 million albums since 1986 with his band, The Goo Goo Dolls. Rzeznik has penned an unprecedented string of 14 consecutive Number One and Top Ten singles, including "Name," "Slide," Black Balloon," "Here Is Gone," "Before It's Too Late," "Jim's Theme" (Treasure Planet)" and "Better Days," which was adopted as an anthem for CNN's Hurricane Katrina recovery coverage. "Iris," from the City Of Angels soundtrack, spent nearly a year on the Billboard charts, holding the Number One position for 18 consecutive weeks.

Rzeznik and The Goo Goo Dolls have performed in front of millions of fans around the globe, received four Grammy nominations, and released eight studio albums, a compilation, a live DVD, a box set and a Greatest Hits album. They have appeared on The Late Late Show with David Letterman nine times, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno 16 times.

Rzeznik has spent the last several months writing new songs and building his own state-of-the-art recording studio. Most recently, he was named the 2008 recipient of the Hal David Starlight Songwriter Award.

"John Rzeznik ...is not only shining as an outstanding, talented songwriter, but one with a unique vision." - Hal David, Songwriter & President - Songwriter Hall Of Fame
