Montell Jordan

Montell Jordan's debut record This Is How We Do It (1995) was an influential, multi-platinum smash, the title track becoming a precursor for the hip-hop tinged R&B that would soon dominate the charts. Jordan has brought his potent live act on tour with Boyz II Men, Mary J. Blige and The Isley Brothers, and produced for Whitney Houston, Deborah Cox, Sisqo, Dru Hill and many others. Recent years found Jordan branching out – he wrote children's books and scripts, developed his own reality TV show, Montellivision, and somehow found time to raise three kids. But these days it's all about the music. His recent seventh album Let It Rain is every bit as inspired as his first. Jordan also recently added movie scoring to his resume, for the dance sequences to the Paramount movie How She Moves, and reunited with long time production partner Shep Crawford for a production company called The Story Tellers. Together, they have produced six #1 hits, with more on the way. They're currently producing a project entitled Soul Mates with a plethora of superstars and smash hits.
