Kris Demeanor

Kris Demeanor

Film title: I Have Seen The Future

Calgary-born songwriter Kris Demeanor takes delight in exposing the underbelly of western Canadian culture, from gambling to drug use to sexuality to murder to religion. His latest CDs, The Guilt and the Shame - Tales of the Canadian West and Go Away (With Me), examine these darker, stranger corners of his home province. Demeanor has two Bravofact!-funded videos under his belt for "Extreme to Me" and "I Have Seen the Future," the latter of which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it was named one of the Best 10 Shorts of 2007. The "I Have Seen the Future" video is screening in 2008 at the Sundance Film Festival, as well as at film festivals in San Diego and Istanbul. Demeanor has toured numerous times in Australia and Europe, and he and his Crack Band have shared bills with such artists as David Byrne, Cake and Elvis Costello.
