Coldplay, Jay-Z and Ne-Yo Lead Grammy Nominations


Nominations for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards were announced on December 3, 2008 by The Recording Academy. ASCAP members were among those receiving multiple nominations with Coldplay (PRS) receiving seven nominations, and Jay-Z and Ne-Yo each earning six nods. John Mayer, Robert Plant, Radiohead (PRS) and Jazmine Sullivan received five each while Eagles, Danger Mouse and George Strait each received four nominations. For the first time, nominations for the annual Grammy Awards were announced on prime-time television. The 51st Annual Grammy Awards will be held on Feb. 8, 2009, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and once again will be broadcast live on CBS from 8-11:30 p.m. (ET).
