ASCAP SONGWRITERS AND ARTISTS
NOMINATED FOR AMERICANA AWARDS

ASCAP members received more than half of the nominations for the 4th Annual Americana Honors & Awards. Steve Earle and Mary Gauthier received three nominations each, and go head to head for Album of the Year and Song of the Year honors. Buddy Miller earned two nominations, and a track from Miller's nominated album Universal United House Of Prayer, "Worry Too Much" by Mark Heard, is nominated for Song Of The Year. Revered singer/songwriter Guy Clark will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriter, to be presented by Emmylou Harris.

The Americana Honors & Awards ceremony will be held at the Ryman Auditorium on Friday, September 9, 2005 at 7pm.
