 The ASCAP Concert Music Department oversees all activities of the Society which affect the writers and publishers of Concert Music. The Concert Department works closely with all ASCAP departments whose activity impacts upon our writer and publisher members, including Licensing, Concert Performance Crediting, International, New Media and Technology, Royalty, Repertory, Awards, and the Symphonic & Concert and Special Classifications Committees. In addition, the Concert Music Department administers The ASCAP Foundation NISSIM Prize, Morton Gould Young Composer Awards, the Commissioning Project and Concert Music Workshops.
The Concert Music Department also represents the ASCAP membership at all events, conferences, symposia, panels featuring concert music issues. As strong advocates for our members, the Concert Music Department exerts all efforts to promote the excellence of the works in our catalog and interacts with professional colleagues in the field worldwide to enhance the career opportunities of ASCAP's Concert Music membership.
